Sec 3: MSND Act I Scene i (Theseus & Hippolyta)

In-class:
- Re-cap on last week's lesson regarding the four main characters and review on literary devices
- Students introduced to the theme of love in MSND
- In-depth discussion on Theseus and Hippolyta's type of love


Homework:
- Helena's soliloquy due April 21, 2010 (Wednesday)
- Cupid's arrow & A Promo! exercises due April 21, 2010 (Wednesday)
- Hermia's options worksheet due April 26, 2010 (Monday)

Sec 2: Descriptive Writing

In-class:
- Students introduced to adjectives
- Students given time in class to write a short description about a friend and the class had to guess who they were referring to
- Points in Descriptive Writing Handouts were discussed (pages 1 - 3)

Homework:
- Descriptive Writing Handouts page 4: underline adjectives, and circle the nouns
- Descriptive Writing Handouts page 4: change the adjectives to describe the woods as an eerie and mysterious place
Descriptive Writing Handouts page 4: highlight or underline adjectives in the descriptive passages
- Vocabulary book (at least 10 spelling words should be written for Tuesday's class)

NOTE: Please change the 15th word to CHOROGRAPHY instead.
