Sec 3: Test (SAN)

Homework:
- Please re-read the passage and choose one question to complete (it can be typed if you wish)
- You should give yourself 25 - 30min to complete the question
- Find the dictionary definition of "feeling" and give me 5 examples (e.g. anger)
- Dateline: Monday (8 March, 2010) at 7:55am

If you do not meet the dateline, you'll have to stay back on Monday after school. There will be NO GRACE period.

- You'll be allowed to use cue cards, but you should not rely on them too much
- Time limit: 3 min

Sec 2: Persuasive Speech (final)

In class:
- PPT slides on peer editing
- Students peer-edited their friend's works

Homework:
- FINAL copy of your speech is to be TYPED and it's due on MONDAY 22 Feb, 2010
- Word limit: 400 - 450 (introduction + body paragraphs + conclusion). You have to deliver your speech in 3 minutes.

Please stay within the word limit! If you go beyond the word limit by 10 - 30 words, you would not be penalized for it.

IF YOUR WORD LIMIT IS UNACCEPTABLE, YOU MAY BE PENANLIZED AS I WILL ONLY MARK THE FIRST 450 WORDS OF YOUR SPEECH.

- Note that you'll only be graded for your body paragraphs and conclusion.
- You may revise your introduction, but it should not differ too much from the original unless you have not done well for your introduction.

Absentees - you'll do peer editing when you're back in school (you may have to stay back for an hour to do so), and you'll be given two days to revise and type up your final copy of your speech.
