- Irony handout was distributed
- Irony as a literary device was introduced
- Situation irony and verbal irony were highlighted to be the most important types of irony in Literature
- Students listened to "Ironic" by Alanis Morrisette: task was to identify appropriate "Situational" and "Verbal" ironies in the song
Homework:
- MU: read pages 110 - 119
- Task 1: Complete IRONY(2) worksheet
- Task 2: pg 115 - 116 complete questions #1 & #3
- Task 3: pg 118 complete all questions
EXTRA LESSON on IRONY either on Friday (12 March, 2010) or Tuesday (23 March, 2010).
